About Me

I’m a California-licensed architect based in Santa Barbara, where I’ve practiced for more than 20 years. I also hold a California general contractor’s license, bringing practical construction knowledge to the design process.

I grew up around art and making things. My father was a Northwest wildlife artist, and I began my career with the family business, Winsor Fireform, producing porcelain-enamel architectural graphics and public art, including work with Roy Lichtenstein, Frank Stella and Dale Chihuly.

After Winsor Fireform, I worked in construction and landscape design in the Pacific Northwest before moving to Santa Barbara in 2003. I joined Grace Design Associates, where landscape and outdoor living were closely intertwined. I later jumped at the opportunity to work with green-building pioneer Dennis Allen, designing early small prefab homes for Hawaii, then continued my architectural work with Tom Meaney, with whom I still collaborate with today.

That combination of art, architecture, construction, landscape and visualization continues to shape my work—from residential remodeling and ADUs to outdoor spaces, prefab concepts and commercial properties.
